	juv. Hunting Black headed gulls over the lake, tried for 10 minutes, but eventually gave up. Despite catching a juvenile gull from the surface of the water twice and dropping it following mobbing from adults, it went hungry!

10:45	imm. Made repeated rather half-hearted and unsuccessful attacks on various species including a Lesser Black backed gull, Lapwing and a heron! It was particularly persistent with the Heron which responded with some pretty impressive aerial contortions and loud indignant calls (well I thought it sounded indignant!). The peregrine eventually gave up and landed on the mud and after a quick drink proceeded to bathe and preen itself. Great views. It was still there when I left at 11:15.
