Up to 8x 3rd wave birds (I presume) vocally checking out our house & local area, this morning, for an hour or so, on & off. Biggest screaming squadron so far this season.

At least. In a tight, vocal flock, circling high above the town for at least 30 minutes. Never seen such a numerous flock before here (over this very non-swift, post-war town). Lovely to see.

In our biggest poplar, taking the emerging hornet moths from the roots of the tree (in competition with a great tit and a pair of magpies).
