16:15	At least 500 roosting right next to the north side of the M4 at SU943798 (opposite Slough Sewage Farm). Gerald Marsh and I had seen birds flying towards the roost from Dorney Wetlands on two recent visits but could not see exactly where they were roosting, until yesterday, when we looking for the Great Grey Shrike with Brian Clews. The birds are roosting next a new Bridleway (not marked on OS maps) which runs alongside the M4 so easy to view. SU943798.

17:45	juv. A young parakeet was sitting on the window ledge at the back of the house - looked a little lost. I have never seen a juvenile before but checking the literature and the web this is all it could be. Stunning colours. Will post mobile phone pictures if they are good enough quality.
