11:20	Over Bittern hide > N. Whilst stood in front of hide with Trevor Guyatt he spotted a weird creature later identified as a Water Stick Insect, Ranata Linearis, an uncommon species. Joined by a 2nd before submerging. A first for both of us. He also found a Black Tailed Darter.

12:30	Initially 1 seen on scrape, calling constantly. It flew off, then returned 10 mins later with 2 others. Only 2 settled, 3rd flew S. Later informed by Geoff Emmett that when the 3 were in flight he was watching them + 1 more, which was on the island at Lea Fm, so 4 in the area.
