Escape		male. Sat on the top of a pylon for c20 mins before chased off by a Magpie. This bird was wearing jesses. Maybe being used as a bird scarer on the tip. Certainly works as there wasn't a gull in sight! Interestingly, this is the 5th Peregrine in the area (2ad m, 1 ad f, 1 juv, m with jesses).

imm male. The clearest view yet of Reading's urban peregrine (at least for me)! Scaring the proverbial out of the flocks of feeding birds on the small rec behind my garden (1/2 mile from the mainline station), at the same time as before - around 6am. I assume its roosting on a tower block in the town, then heading off somewhere to hunt. Wonderful view.

m. For the last 2 days at around 6am I've watched a young Peregrine stoop the flocks of pigeons feeding on the tiny rec behind our house. Didn't believe what I was seeing yesterday - do today - a great view! Is this R.Crawfords "station Peregrine"? We live not half a mile from the station. Peregrine always heads off due west at speed. Wonderful, and so unexpected!
