| 16:04 | Probably nearer a thousand birds. Same site as reported yesterday by Richard. There was shooting nearby so the birds were very skittish. Taking off in large flocks, before settling again in either the field or trees. There's a signposted byway on the right hand side of the road before you hit the Upper Basildon signs coming up from Pangbourne village. Follow that through a couple of fields and then you should spot them. Also meadow pipits, grey and pied wags on a large dung pile in one of the neighbouring farmer fields. | |||
