15:13	Flew west over the reservoir at 0815hrs. Watching from the pier the bird passed to the north of me and was in silhouette all the time it was in view (c30 seconds) so could not be sexed or aged. A small compact falcon about Kestrel sized, the inner wing was fairly broad giving way to sharply pointed primaries, the tail was medium length compared to the rest of the body. The flight action was unlike that of Kestrel and Hobby (both longer winged) being a series of rapid beats followed by a glide all at speed. The flight was direct and the bird was soon lost to view as it cleared QMR. Key holders only.
