drk. found at 1504 hrs asleep , waited 5 or 6 minutes, bird did not raise head, so I called Marek to put news out.Watched it for 30 minutes or so , raised its head briefly once or two.Looked like bird from January,loosely associating with 15 Pochard.

drk. Present to dark - lingering with other aythya off Three Island Bay, viewable from all areas except from the south when it would often be obscured by the most easterly of the islands.

drk. Asleep when first found-brilliant white undertail coverts were first inkling.Finally woke up and began swimming and diving etc,after 40 minutes or so.
