| 10:00 | Found by Ian Weston in scrubby area just east of eastern end of industrial park. This is the 3rd bird in the area in last few weeks, after 1 caught at Thatcham Marsh and another caught at western end of Greenham Common. Must be the best year in Berks for this species in many a long year. Please keep to the main paths. | |||

11:41 | Possible: Description of a bird in a Maidenhead garden appears to fit this species (small, variable-brown woodpecker climbing up apple tree bole, pecking as it went). Observer (who is familiar with all usual garden birds including GS) reacted positively to picture shown on mobile phone. I will keep in touch and advise of any further sightings. | |||
