| 17:15 | Seen from public footpath standing on chalk mound looking east to the left of the house but to the right of the pine tree (the dark tree) in the far field. Seen with 4 other birders. Got soaked but worth the wait. Park in Sheepbridge farm opposite Mill House hotel http://www.themillhousehotel.co.uk/ then walk through stile. Much drier than the other route and closer. Have to stand on chalk mound or you won't see it. SU724656. | |||

| 11:20 | At around this time, having taken a call en-route to seeing this bird, I pulled into Burnthouse Lane where I knew there is lots of sky to look at. As I was looking straight up, the bird flew in very low from the SE and appeared to be coming down in AWE Burghfield. I had left my site pass at home, so was unable to go in and look, but a search in all the fields around the perimeter proved fruitless. Please only view from the public footpath. | |||
