At 15.30hrs I saw the Black n grebe distantly, in murky light, diving continuously. I was not sure about it so walked to the M4 side. The bird was marginally closer but still very difficult and mostly in silhouette. After a while I was convinced it was a Slav grebe profile but took a long time ( to 17.30hrs) to confirm plumage features i.e. red neck, pale bill tip etc. the bird was not in complete sum plum. RC arrived and saw the features as well. | ||||
