imm. Immature Shag was in the north-east corner of the reservoir to the left of the gull flock. It was sitting preening by the waterside for about fifteen minutes before it was joined by two Cormorants. After a further five miinutes it entered the water and began diving. Key holders only.

Of interest, a ringed Shag was found today on Monkey Island at Bray. This was a chick ringed on the Isle of May in 2003. Four live birds were also probably seen there yesterday (per Mark Grantham on Yahoo Group).
