One criticsm of the photos element of this website is that the photos are quite small. These restrictions were put in place because of limits on disk space and bandwidth. However, I am now using Amazon's Simple Storage Service which provides disk space and bandwidth at very cheap prices. For instance, $0.18 per GB storage (per month) and $0.17 per GB bandwidth (per month). As a result I've increased the maximum file size to 100kb and the maximum width to 600px.
