Fobney Meadow work party

14 November 2024 | Adrian Lawson

In the last couple of years the cattle have been taken off Fobney Marsh and the lack of grazing has led to it getting overgrown. Over the last few months a small group of us have been trampling parts of the marsh to replicate the grazing, and to create a more diverse habitat. The results have been impressive. Hello Avocets!

On Sunday 22 December we’re going to have another marsh trampling day and the more people join in the bigger the area we can clear. We plan to meet at 10, do a bit of birding there for half an hour then spend up to an hour on the marsh.
