QMR gates left unlocked

For the second time this autumn the BOC gates at QMR have been found unlocked. The first time the chain was found hanging below the lock so presumably had not been secured properly and fallen out. This weekend the chain was wrapped vertically around the sliding bar rather than horizontally around both gates. Security is a big issue at this site so it is imperative that members leave the gates secured properly. For those unfamiliar with how the chain should be secured I have provided a photo here:
In addition apparently some members have not been signing in and out. It is a condition of our access arrangement with Thames Water that members sign in when arriving at the reservoir and sign out when leaving. This applies to all members even if you have a swipe card to get out.
