Lockdown listing results
13th May 2020 | Marek Walford
I think the relaxation of the lockdown guidance marks the end of this competition. So, the winner is Finley Hutchinson who narrowly beats Andy Tomczynski to it on the last week, closely followed by Dave Carter in third place. Congratulations!
I hope you've enjoyed taking part and paying more attention to your immediate surroundings. I certainly have. I've never kept a garden list so it's been interesting and surprising to discover that I can see 50+ species from my Reading garden! I hope you carry on with the garden year list competition for the rest of the year.
Nineteen people took, seeing 104 species between them. Some of the highlights were Great White Egret, White Stork, Common Scoter, Hen Harrier, Whimbrel, Black Redstart, Firecrest and Crossbill.
