1. Flew north over Greenham Common. Very large white egret with long broad wings, rather ponderous wing beats, a deeply bulging neck fold, very long dagger bill and feet trailing a long way behind tail. Unfortunately colour of bill difficult to make out due to viewing towards light. Just looked indeterminate! Feet not obviously yellow. Apologies for late reporting. SU491642. Please keep to the main paths.

First seen flying west towards Burghfield Mill pit when it disturbed a Little Egret and was lost to view. Ken and I spent two further hours searching for it, but no more sign. Also seen by KEM.
