17:30	Lundy lane: two birds collecting copious nesting material, but unsure where they were ultimatly taking it. SU691733.

08:50	pair. Came out together from Upper nest hole one with short green twig , rested it on branch as an anvil - hammered it several times with beak as though trimming it to size , though fell/dropped to ground & then ignored. No action in lower hole.

09:05	2 holes with birds - 1st hole bird entered hole giving quiet contact call , 2nd hole in same tree - bird entered silently.

09:15	2 on branch immediately outside "nesting" hole - looked like spare female trying to mate with presumably male of pair - both flew off quietly then 1 (m?) returned later to interact with bird inside hole with various calls etc.

08:15	same hole as before - 1 flew straight in uttering short call at entrance = other bird sitting ? too cold to hang around !

09:45	pair dived into branch hole , side by side at full speed so must be quite deep. Emerged singly after roughly 3 mins - one remaining close other flying off. No calls - Two others in top of same tree but left without interacting with the pair - same site as before.
