16:30 | ad f? Gulls on CLS, close to blind - not 100% in fading light, but probable, go take a look. Very close match to ad fem Caspian Gull (one of 25+ ad Herring-type gulls), not a screaming obvious male. Manic bathing. Very good P10 pattern both sides, near-white tongue on inner web, narrow transverse black band meeting black outer web, white tip longer than black band was wide. Underwings showed limited black in narrow crescent band traversing primaries. Dark mark on outer edge of gonys spot, dark eye, but appeared adult. | |||
