| adult, m or f. I was watching widgeon through my binoculars from the Teal Hide when the bittern flew into my field of view, quite low, and causing some mild alarm to a flock of teal on the lake. I followed it for about 100 metres of flight, then it made a clumsy landing in the reeds directly opposite the hide, and disappeared totally. A regular in the Bittern Hide subsequently told me there had been a sighting on the 23rd. | ||||
