First pair in the garden since 2003 - also 2 juv. Blackbirds, 1 juv. Greenfinch and a female Robin nesting in my open fronted nest box which is a real bonus. Also a juv. Robin being fed by parent - not sure yet if new nest is for a 2nd brood.

Five singing males on one-mile stroll along river and canal...good to hear, also plenty of wrens, blackcaps and two whitethroats, with a gadwall on the river, and mistle thrushes feeding fledglings, but kingfishers lying low.

As spring sun came out in milder weather, the thrush was singing at the same time as two robins, two wrens and one chaffinch, with blue,long-tailed and great tits calling, mallard drakes chasing females...it's springtime!
