14:00	I picked up a bird feeding on Reed Mace on the far side of the flood from the Jubilee River. It was upside down attacking the blind side of the seed head and its head was obscured. All I could make out was a pale under side and a shortish tail, possibly forked. When the head did become briefly visible it appeared to be unmarked and finch like. I then saw 2 or 3 others fly across my view and my bird followed. It was 15 mins later before I caught a brief view of a bird flying off a seed head but again got nothing on it. The only bird positively identified feeding on the seed heads was a Blue Tit which my bird definitely wasn't. So I've logged it as a possible Linnet but I'm really not sure.
