Patch birding

In 2011 I took part in the Berkshire Year Listing Competition, finishing in an impressive last place. It was all just a bit much so I didn't bother in 2012. However, I'm now looking for a new challenge in 2013 and had already decided on birding Dinton more intensively when I came across the Patchwork Challenge, a patch listing competition.
I also came across Foot it, another competition but based around birding on foot from your house during January.
I'm currently the only birder in Berkshire taking part in either of these so it would be great if some other Berks birders signed up!
